January 2025
Stories on Water is an initiative featuring a series of inspirational talks designed to raise awareness and share knowledge on operational hydrology. In a series of events, experts from different backgrounds and fields of work share insights on hydrology and related topics, WMO’s work, and their professional experiences, as well as personal stories of resilience, action, and hope in the face of water-related challenges. The first event, “High Flows: Stories on Water”, focused on flood forecasting, early warnings, and the vital role of effective communication in empowering communities to better respond to water-related disasters.

International Year of Glaciers’ Preservation 2025
