Adérito Celso Félix Aramuge Aramuge
Adérito Celso Félix Aramuge is a meteorologist working at the National Institute of Meteorology of Mozambique (INAM, IP). He has a degree in Meteorology from Eduardo Mondlane University, in Mozambique and a Postgraduate in Seismology from the International Institute of Seismology and Earthquake Engineering – IISEE in Japan. He holds a master's degree in Disaster Management from GRIPS in Japan and has a PhD in Physics from the University of Aveiro in Portugal.
Current Responsibilities:
He is General Director of the National Institute of Meteorology of Mozambique;
Permanent Representative of Mozambique to the World Meteorological Organization;
Vice-president of the Regional Meteorological Association of Africa, of the World Meteorological Organization;
He was a Member of the Executive Board of the World Meteorological Organization (2019-2023); and
He chaired the African group to draw up the action plan for Africa, initiated by the General Secretary of the United Nations, on advance notice for all.
