Consultative Meeting Climate Science Information for Climate Finance “Enhancing the Role of National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) In Accessing Climate Finance”

The Consultative Meeting on Climate Science Information for Climate Finance aims to strengthen the capacity of National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) in climate finance investment planning, programming, and implementation, by supporting capacity development to access the financial resources directed towards initiatives aimed at mitigation and adaptation, including early warning systems (EWS). The workshop is addressed to Permanent Representatives from developing countries, including least developed countries (LDCs). Participants in the Consultative Meeting will also include members of the WMO Climate Policy Advisors from NMHSs engaged within the UNFCCC process, members of the Alliance for Hydromet Development including Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs), relevant international organizations (e.g. UNFCCC) and WMO Secretariat Staff. The Consultative Meeting is organized by the WMO Climate Services Branch and Member Services Department with the financial support of the Trust Fund for the Belt and Road Initiative from China.
