Ajok Paska
Ajok Paska is a Hydrologist at the Uganda's Ministry of Water and Environment with over five years of experience in integrated flood and drought management across East Africa.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in water resources engineering from Busitema University and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in water resources management at Yeungnam University in South Korea, focusing on technical innovations in hydrological modeling and AI-enhanced water prediction systems.
Paska has led multiple water resource projects across Uganda, from urban flood management systems in major cities to rural drought preparedness initiatives. Her approach focuses on building water systems and empowering communities to thrive despite changing conditions, ensuring people have the infrastructure and capabilities they need to prosper in an evolving environment.
Throughout her career, Paska has been committed to youth engagement and mentorship. She actively mentors emerging water professionals and believes that sustainable solutions come from creating systems that improve lives regardless of climate challenges.
In 2025, her project "SV4CASH: Smart Village for Climate Action Self-Help" was one of the awarded initiatives of the Global Integrated Flood and Drought Management Competition for Youth-Led Projects 2025.
Her work demonstrates how advanced water management technologies can serve communities in building long-term prosperity while helping the next generation develop practical solutions that enable people to flourish.
