Jorn Dinh Herner

Jorn Herner is Chief of the Emissions and Remote Sensing Research Branch in the Research Division at the California Air Resources Board. He oversees the implementation of the state’s greenhouse gas monitoring network, the vehicle emissions research program, and the use of remote sensing and new measurement methods to quantify pollutants and develop new mitigation strategies. This includes the use of inverse modeling and satellite-based data. Jorn has a B.A. and M.S. from the University of California at Berkeley and a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
