Launch of the State of the Climate in Asia 2023 Report

Asia was the most disaster-impacted region in 2023. Floods and storms continued to cause the highest number of mortalities, economic damages and affected the largest number of people. At the same time, the impact of an increasing number of extreme events, such as heat waves was also more severe than in earlier years.
