NiMet Signs MoU with Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA)
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The signing ceremony took place on the 7th of March 2022 in Lagos, Nigeria. This landmark agreement is a cumulation of efforts by the Agency under the able leadership of the DG/CEO, Professor Mansur Bako Matazu. This historical agreement also comes at the first anniversary in the office of DG/CEO. The MoU is designed as a framework to provide meteorological service for NIMASA to ensure safety and security on Nigerian waterways. The agreement is a milestone to ensuring sustainable development in the maritime sector.
