In its role, the Research Board serves as a liaison between WMO sponsored and co-sponsored Research Programmes, Technical Commissions, Regional Associations and international scientific communities. Additionally, the Research Board identifies scientific and technological gaps, opportunities and synergies to stimulate research and operational activities that address Members’ needs and support implementation of the WMO Strategic Plan.
