SERCOM-3, third session of the Commission for Weather, Climate, Hydrological, Marine and Related Environmental Services and Applications and the Gender Conference

The Commission for Weather, Climate, Hydrological, Marine and Related Environmental Services and Applications (SERCOM) is responsible for guiding and organizing efforts to promote, develop, and implement services that are globally consistent, user-focused, and sustainable in the long-term, following principles of good practice and providing opportunities for everyone.

The scope of SERCOM-3 is to bring together technical experts from all around the world and to facilitate their collaboration in developing standards for methods, procedures, techniques and practices, and to ensure that their recommendations are provided to the WMO Congress and Executive Council.

The Gender Action Day, to be held on 7 March 2024, on the eve of International Women’s Day, aims to share knowledge and facilitate exchanges on promoting Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment and Leadership through the Early Warnings for All initiative.
