The Expert Team on Hydrometry (RA III-ET-HDR), under the Committee of Hydrology and Water Resources (RA III-C-HWR), modernizes and expands hydrological observation networks across the region. It identifies technical, financial, and training needs of member countries and addresses them through workshops on innovative, low-cost technologies such as image velocimetry and sediment measurement. By promoting standardized guidelines and coordinating with WMO bodies, ET-HDR ensures robust, cost-effective, and unified hydrometric operations.
