Climate and Cryosphere (CliC) Open Science Conference
Wellington City, New Zealand
The CliC Open Science Conference 2026 (#CliC2026) is an international scientific meeting focused on The Changing Cryosphere: Science, Impacts, and Adaptation, taking place 9–12 February 2026 at the Tākina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wellington, New Zealand. It brings together researchers, scientists, practitioners, educators, stakeholders and early-career researchers from across cryospheric and climate sciences to share research, identify knowledge gaps, and explore interdisciplinary approaches to understanding how ice, snow, permafrost and related systems are responding to climate change and affecting global environments.
The programme will include presentations, discussions, town halls and workshops spanning polar, mountain and global cryosphere topics, alongside a wide range of side events, with a strong emphasis on the International Polar Year (IPY) and the UN Decade of Action for Cryospheric Sciences.
