WMO High-level Dialogue on Climate Science Information for Climate Finance and the 53rd Senior Official Field Exchange (SOFE)

The event will comprise two segments. The first segment, to be held from 14 to  16 September, will consist of a high-level dialogue on strengthening the role of NMHSs in  mobilizing climate finance, particularly at the national and regional levels, drawing on WMO  Guidance on Enhancing the Role of NMHS in Mobilizing Climate Finance (No.1365). This  segment will also support the leadership development of directors of NMHSs, strengthen  strategic thinking and foster partnerships. The second segment, from 17 to 18 September, will  be dedicated to the 53rd Senior Official Field Exchange to Fujian Province, providing  participants with first-hand exposure to the implementation of MAZU, China´s solution for  Early Warnings for All (EW4All) and to disaster risk reduction practices through technical  exchanges, field visits and peer learning.
