Vincent-Henri Peuch

Vincent-Henri Peuch is the Head of Site for European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) in Bonn (Germany), Director for engagement with the EU, and member of the Directorate of ECMWF. He’s been involved in WMO activities for more than two decades, serving in different groups, committees, and teams. At present, he co-chairs the Advisory Group of G3W (AG-G3W) and, in particular, serves on the Joint Scientific Steering Committee on Environmental Pollution and Atmospheric Chemistry (EPAC SSC), which oversees the implementation of the Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW) Programme.

Before January 2024, he was Director of the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) at ECMWF. Until 2011, he has conducted research for 15 years on atmospheric composition modelling and data assimilation at Météo-France, pioneering in particular 3D air quality forecasting in Europe. He has directed/co-directed 12 PhD theses. He is an internationally respected scientist on atmospheric environment issues and has co-authored over 105 peer-reviewed publications.
