Sulagna Mishra

Dr. Sulagna Mishra currently works as a Scientific Officer in the hydrology, water and cryosphere branch at the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and is based in Geneva. At WMO, she overlooks the implementation of the global hydrological status and outlook system (HydroSOS) and leads the publication of the State of Global Water Resources report.

Sulagna’s background is as an environmental scientist, specializing in hydrological, water quality modeling, and water resource management. She has a background in civil engineering, and a master's in hydrology and environmental management. For her Doctorate at TU Dresden (2022), she developed model-based solutions to serve as hydrological and water quality monitoring and planning tools.
