Mwanahamisi Singano

Ms. Mwanahamisi (“Mishy”) Singano is a Director of Policy at the Women's Environment & Devlopment Organization providing strategic leadership for global policy across all three Rio conventions (UNCBD, UNCCD, UNFCCC) and UNDRR. She is also a global co-focal point of the Women and Gender Constituency at the UNFCCC, global co-convenor of Women Stakeholder Group at UNDRR and member of women caucuses at UNCCD and UNCBD. Mishy brings a feminist vision to climate action and disaster risk reduction as well as invaluable experience working with communities in the global south and policy actors across the world.
