Laurence Rouil

Laurence Rouil is the Director of the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) at the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) as of February 2024. At the WMO, she chairs the Task Team on G3W Data (TT-G3W-Data). With over 25 years of experience in air pollution and atmospheric chemistry modeling, she is a recognized leader in her field.

Before joining ECMWF, she was Director of Strategy, Scientific Policy and Communications at INERIS, the public French Institute dedicated to industrial environments and risks. Since 2014, she has chaired the EMEP steering Body, the scientific program dealing with air pollutants concentrations and deposition monitoring and control under the UNECE Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air pollution. Her extensive experience and leadership roles highlight her contributions to the understanding and management of air quality and atmospheric processes at both national and international levels.
