The weather in Germany in December 2019 - Deutscher Wetterdienst
In December 2019, high pressure only influenced the weather in Germany at the start and end of the month; low-pressure areas dominated at other times. These low-pressure areas brought significant precipitation to the south-west, whereas they were weakened when they reached all other regions, where in-stead sunny conditions frequently prevailed. Inflows of mostly mild and, in some cases, unusually mild air arrived so, once again this year, most people did not see their wish for a white Christmas fulfilled. Overall, December did not see much precipitation, was very sunny and much too mild. This is what the initial analysis by the Deutscher Wet-terdienst (DWD) of data from its around 2,000 weather stations shows.
