Chris Gentle

Senior Advisor, New Business Ventures of the World Energy Council

Chris Gentle is Senior Advisor, New Business Ventures.  He previously was a Partner at Deloitte and has held senior positions at KPMG, WPP and the European Commission. Chris has over 20 years international experience in strategy consulting working at board level in over 35 countries around the world.  

He spent 17 years in Big 4 firms working for F500 clients and founding research and policy teams at two of the Firms – KPMG and Deloitte where he was Managing Partner, Research. He has also held roles at WPP and the European Commission.  He has advised both the World Trade Organisation and United Nations on trade and economic issues.  He works at the highest levels of influencing including the UK Prime Minister, President European Commission and WEF in Davos.  He is also the author of two books one of which – After Liberalisation: Europe in the Global Economy of the C21st - has its 20th anniversary of publishing this year.
