WIGOS RRR- Statement of Guidance release - webinar 26 May 2026 - report

The WIGOS Rolling Review of Requirements (RRR) is a continuous, user-driven process that ensures global observing systems evolve to meet changing needs in weather, climate, water and environmental services. 

Its key output, the Statements of Guidance (SoGs), provides clear, consensus-based recommendations for sustaining and improving observing systems. 

Presentation and discussion of the recently published SoGs for:

Atmospheric Applications (WMO-No. 1392),  Oceanic Applications (WMO-No. 1393), and  Cryospheric Applications (WMO-No. 1394), 

took place at webinar which was held on 26 May, 12:00 UTC. The webinar was well attended, with around 300 participants.
