Jaideep S. Sandhu

Chief Technology Officer, Renewables Global Business Unit, ENGIE SA

Jaideep is a mechanical engineer and power industry professional with over thirty years’ experience in management, operations, maintenance, rehabilitation, renovation, modernization, commissioning/re-commissioning, construction oversight, acquisition and greenfield development of power stations and seawater desalination plants in multi-cultural environments. 

Jaideep is currently Chief Technology Officer for the Renewables Global Business Unit in ENGIE . He has previously worked in various positions at ENGIE such as Head of the Technical Expertise Department; Director Renewables in the Centralised Generation Metier; Head of Operations and Maintenance Support for Branch Energy International which had over 73GW of operational capacity; and COO for the South Asia Middle East and Africa Region. He has either directly worked as part of project development teams or had an overall supervisory and guidance function on technical and O&M matters on over 16GW Power and 680MIGD of desalination capacity representing a TIC over 15bn€. In providing operational support to assets, his team has been able to achieve savings, loss mitigation and avoided cost in tens of millions of Euros.
