Launch: European State of the Climate Report 2025
The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), which operates the Copernicus Climate Change Service and Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service on behalf of the European Commission, and WMO are pleased to invite you to an embargoed virtual press conference presenting the European State of the Climate Report 2025.
If you want to know more about heatwaves from the Mediterranean to the Arctic Circle, changing patterns of snow cover and glaciers, and rising sea temperatures that shaped the climate in Europe and the world in 2025, then join us at 1pm on 27 April. The 1-hour embargoed press conference will feature expert analysis of the joint ECMWF and WMO findings, highlighting the rapidly changing climate of Europe as the world’s fastest warming continent, with record temperatures in regions including Scandinavia, the southwestern Mediterranean, and the North Sea.
