The Expert Team on Operational Climate Prediction Services (ET-OCPS) is responsible for reviewing, updating, and recommending improvements to the WMO Integrated Processing and Prediction System (WIPPS) Manual and the activities of WIPPS Designated Centres, in order to ensure that they reflect the needs and practices in climate prediction.

This meeting aims to finalize the deliverables to be submitted to the fourth session of the Commission for Observation, Infrastructure and Information Systems (INFCOM-4) will be held in November 2026, and to elaborate the work plan for the next intersessional period, while also integrating the outcomes of the fourth session of the Open Consultative Platform (OCP-4), which is being held as a back-to-back meeting at the same venue. Some elements of the work plan will be developed jointly with the Expert Team on Climate Services Information Systems for Decision Support (ET-CIDS) under the Standing Committee on Climate Service (SC-Cli).
