  • Engagement between users and providers of climate services can make users have their voice heard and make sure climate services are relevant to their needs.

  • National Frameworks for Climate Services (NFCS) are multi-stakeholder user interface platforms enabling the development and delivery of climate services at country level. This key GFCS mechanism focuses on improving co-production, tailoring, delivery and use of science-based climate predictions and services focused on the five GFCS priority areas: agriculture and food security, disaster risk reduction, energy, health and water. NFCSs support the Paris Agreement, which aims to strengthen the global response to the threat of climate change, by helping Parties to the Agreement prepare, maintain and communicate their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). By providing climate services that help assess climate vulnerabilities; identify adaptation options; improve the understanding of climate and its impacts; and enhance the adaptation planning and implementing capacity of climate-sensitive sectors, NFCSs complement National Adaptation Plans (NAPs).
