Technical planning meeting for Severe Weather Forecasting Programme (SWFP) implementation in Central America

The WMO Severe Weather Forecasting Programme (SWFP) is being scaled up including for its geographical expansion to cover more countries and subregions in support of the UN Early Warnings for All (EW4All) initiative. The technical planning meeting for SWFP implementation in Central America in San José, Costa Rica (21-25 October 2024) aims to determine the needs and requirements of WMO member countries in Central America to define the scope of SWFP implementation and consider developing a draft implementation plan for the subregion as feasible.
