CMA released the first generation of global atmospheric and land surface reanalysis products

01 de junio de 2021

On May 13, the first-generation of global atmospheric and land surface reanalysis products (CRA) of China Meteorological Administration (CMA) are officially released in Beijing. CRA products have filled the gaps in China's global atmospheric reanalysis field. The products are shared with users through the China Meteorological Data Service Centre website (http://www.nmic.cn/). CRA has reconstructed the global three-dimensional atmospheric conditions from the ground to an altitude of 55 kilometers since 1979, with a time resolution of 6 hours and a horizontal resolution of 34 kilometers. After trial evaluation by many research institutes, the quality of CRA is generally equivalent to that of the international third-generation global reanalysis products.
