Monitoring & Assessment Center for GHSs & Carbon Neutrality of CMA established - China Meteorological Administration
On January 22, China Meteorological Administration (CMA) held the workshop on carbon neutrality and scientific issues, namely establishment of Monitoring & Assessment Center for GHSs & Carbon Neutrality. Mr. Yu Rucong, Deputy Administrator of CMA attended this meeting. 15 academicians from Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, experts from CMA, relevant scientific research institutes, and institutions of higher education, and directors from departments like Chinese Academy of Engineering, National Natural Science Foundation of China, and others engaged in the meeting online or on the spot. Zang Xiaoye, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and researcher from Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences introduced the background, significance and formation plans of the center. Participatory experts held the view that the establishment of the center bears vital significance and boasted a feasible plan, and submitted their suggestions as regards the construction and development of the center.
