Two records! June has never been warmer or sunnier in Germany
Offenbach, 28 June 2019 – June 2019 is the warmest and sunniest June in Germany since nationwide measurements first began. “New maximum temperatures yet again! It is coming to the point when I don't know what comment to make about this series of climate-related records,” says Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD) press officer Uwe Kirsche, after an initial analysis by the DWD of data from its around 2,000 weather stations. Secondly, following on after a very wet May, June was much too dry.
