Declaration against fraud, corruption and other proscribed practices
WMO has zero tolerance for any type of fraud, corruption and other proscribed practices, and is committed to a culture of deterrence and prevention of improper conduct. Within WMO, reporting on proscribed practices is an obligation; protection against retaliation is a right.
Proscribed practices include, but are not limited to, fraud, corruption, collusion, coercion, obstruction, abuse, and other unethical practices such as conflicts of interest, misuse or diversion of resources, and any other act intended to improperly influence the selection, implementation or oversight of project activities or to obtain an undue benefit.

WMO's zero-tolerance policy for fraud, corruption, and other proscribed practices encompasses procurement activities.
Ethics at WMO
The Ethics function is independent of WMO management, and its mandate is to foster a culture of ethics, transparency and accountability in the Organization. It assists the Secretary-General in ensuring that all WMO personnel observe and perform their functions consistent with the WMO Code of Ethics.
Reporting
Any suspected fraud, corruption and other proscribed practices should be reported to the WMO Internal Oversight Office (IOO) through Report fraud, corruption or abuse.
