This video explores the role of the WMO Research Board in translating the strategic aims of WMO Members into overarching research priorities and the role of the WMO Scientific Advisory Panel in providing forward-looking strategic advice on emerging challenges and opportunities in weather, climate, water and related environmental and social sciences.

Additionally, the video highlights the WMO-sponsored World Weather Research Programme and Global Atmosphere Watch Programme as well as the WMO co-sponsored World Climate Research Programme. Through these programmes, WMO is advancing weather, climate and atmospheric composition research to inform policy and decision-making and training the next generation of scientists to turn knowledge into action.
