Dr Kenji Takeda

Dr Kenji Takeda is Director of Research Incubations for Microsoft Research. He is focussed on driving research to impact by partnering with teams across Microsoft, industry, academia, and governments to accelerate real-world value for AI for Science, weather and climate, sustainability and health. In public service, he advises funding agencies and research organisations on innovation and technology strategy. He is a visiting fellow at the Alan Turing Institute and the University of Southampton, UK, where he was Associate Professor for Aeronautics before joining Microsoft. His research expertise is in fluid dynamics, artificial intelligence, high performance computing and computational physics.
