WMO engages in global processes and informs water policy development. The aim is to increase the understanding of the value that hydrological data, information and services add to sustainable development by Member States’ ministries and governments, international partner organizations, and other relevant public, private, and academic institutions. WMO informs policy development through intergovernmental processes, such as the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
